Steel Doors - stylish and secure Steel doors were the first true alternative to timber and will not warp, twist or bow. They also have very high thermal qualities and can be supplied with your choice of subframe.
High quality steel skins are pressed to create a detailed and traditional panel door design which can be hand or spray painted as required. The grained steel will also accept an oil based stained finish.

Evergreen produce 5 sizes of steel door from which the various options can be made - the five widths are 30"(762mm), 32" (812mm),33" (838mm)r34" (863mm) and 36" (914mm) all are 2013mm high. The steel skin faces are fabricated from hot dipped galvanised, primer coated flat steel with panel detailing where ever appropriate.
|
The vertical edges of the steel skins are rolled into the timber stiles to form a permanent lock which eliminates any possible movement of the stiles. The steel skins are also folded at the top and bottom of the door to protect the edges of the timber. A 30" (750mm) lock bolt is centrally located to comply with the requirements of Secure by Design.

Thermally Effective For optimum dimensional stability the steel skins encase a bonded core of rigid H.F.C. polyurethane foam contained within an internal perimeter frame. This acts as a highly effective thermal barrier preventing cold bridging and eliminating condensation. The thermal break is unaffected by the fitting of hinges, locks, door handles or sleeved letter plate. All evergreen unglazed entrance doors have a U Value of 0.375/wm2K (.66 BTUin/ftlh F) and an R value of 2.67m2K/W (15.15ft2h F BTU in). They have up to four times the thermal insulation of timber doors. The doors also provide good sound insulation.
